Every once in a while you run into a guitar from an unknown manufacturer and sometimes they look impressive enough that you want to have it, just to find out more about it. So we arrange the purchase of this Aiglon on the same day we spot it online. Quite by accident there was another ad for three lefty Aiglons, so we wrote to that seller asking about the brand. Anyone selling three lefties at the same time must be either a fan or the manufacturer himself. The latter he was not, but he did know that Aiglons were made by Gert, a Belgian luthier worked at a wholesaler's but also used to create his own instruments. In 1992-1993 he made only a handful of these Aiglons. Its lacquer has faded a bit but it's still a nice shade of green with a cool burst.
