We score the Yamaha on the way back from a weekend in the Eifel. Liège is a terrible city to drive through and actually not particularly beautiful to see, but for the CashConverters we take the trouble. It's quite a big building and they have a decent selection of musical instruments and guitars too. There are about fifteen of them, including about four Ibanez's, a few Fenders, an Epiphone, a Westone and two Yamahas. One of the latter is an SC400, one that we recognize as a less widely known but nice model. It doesn't look bad, although the paint on the front does have some bubbles. However, the CC employee we want to ask to try doesn't speak Dutch or English but I can just switch to French and "essayer?" get out. Fortunately the boy wants to go and get a cable. When Jaap helps him prevent a keyboard from dropping on the floor, he thaws a bit and tries to come up with some English. When we asked at the counter with some hands and feet for a cover for the guitar and the girl offers one "cadeau", he proudly shouts "Present!". We can hold back and don't answer "Ah, oui oui Henri!" but it takes effort.
