Ltd H-330-NTFM

The fact that things have to go wrong with the shipment of guitars from time to time is a statistical certainty and so it should not be surprising, but it does disappoint all the more. This sea blue (or green, it depends on who you ask) Ltd was offered as a B-choice by Thomann on eBay but the only flaw was a small crack in the paint on the front near the neck. Nothing striking and certainly no more than cosmetic, so we didn't expect the price to stay below our limit. But miraculously, it received less attention than expected (perhaps because this auction ended later than a few other Thomann B-picks that all ended in twenty minutes) and so we were able to make our move. Happy happy! Unfortunately we were less happy when it turned out that the box had been hit on the head on the way to us and that the tip of the headstock was damaged. And that while the rest of the guitar is in such good condition! At such a moment you can curse the TNT or DHL! However, they weren't the only culprits: the head had just been wrapped too badly. Thomann could of course not do anything about that afterwards, but appeared to be willing to offer us a credit in their regular store in addition to apologies for the bad packaging, and that was also the only correct (and expected) answer to our complaint ("Send but back and then you get your money back "was one in the ventriloquist category).

After some love and attention, this H-330 is really beautiful. The flamed maple top is nicely tigered, has a beautiful color and a nice burst. The ESPs sound nice and full and the extra jumbo frets play wonderfully smoothly.
