Ooohhh.. this purple ML.. irresistable! We had a black ML but black is just, well, black, and a bit boring at times. You don't see that much MLs in a nice colour or finish for sale, so this one caught our attention. It was being sold on eBay in the UK and the seller was willing to ship to the Netherlands, so we put in a bid and hoped not too many others would follow. And they didn't! But it turned out our bid was below the reserve, so no sale... We asked the seller to sell outside eBay but they didn't want that, but they did put it up again but with our bid as the starting price. So again we bid, hoped and waited. And, whew, again no other bidders, so this time the guitar was ours! Unfortunately we were about to go on holiday, so we asked the seller to wait a bit and choose the slow mail service, and by the time we got back, the neighbours had a nice surprise for us.
This is by far the best tiger stripe flame we have. It looks like you could actually feel the fur if you touch it. The simple colour description of "purple" is therefore almost disrespectful; it should have been "perfect plum" of "violent violet" or something. Too bad! The colour combines really well with the golden hardware and the abalone inlays would not suit the black ML but they work here.
