What makes this Dinky special is not any of the regular stuff like the wood or the pickups, but the finish. We love the Eerie Dess Swirl, which is a bit different than dipped swirls. The basis is our favorite combination of green, blue and purple and on top of that, there's a layer of metallic eerie dess paint which is swirled around to give every guitar its own unique pattern. As ever, purple is difficult to photograph, but it looks alright here.
We bought this guitar on eBay from the US, by bidding on it before going to bed and hoping not to be outbid during the night (i.e. the American day), and we got lucky and won. Later we realized that when you import large stuff like a guitar from the US, customs takes a close look and won't hand it over until you pay import tax. And unfortunately, they expect you to pay tax over the insured amount, not the value... Still, it's a great guitar and still one of our favorites.
